Guys, never doubt Michael Scott‘s rule of thumb when it comes to the price tag for your soon-to-be fiance’s engagement ring, “they say three year’s salary.” Just kidding. They do say three month’s salary. Remember, after you get engaged comes the wedding that also can have a hefty price tag. Plus, the wedding band to go along with the engagement ring you so carefully picked. BUT also remember, your loved one will be wearing the ring you choose FOREVER.
I was considering a diamond alternative for my engagement ring, but I was clueless and had already picked out my ring set with my friends. (I’ll save the full engagement story for later).
My husband did a lot of research on the 4C’s: color, cut, clarity and carat. I’ve done a little bit of research myself and tried to figure out what the most important, and I’m still not sure.
Choosing an engagement ring is an arduous process, but you know they also say, “there’s an app for everything.” There’s an app specifically for those on the brink of a proposal who need an education on the 4C’s.
